Nurseries

I feel as though my life is surrounded by babies, which is never a bad thing. One of my good friends has asked me to help her with her little girls nursery. So I have been diving into Google to find some inspiration for a design board.

Here are some of my favorite's that I have found.

Sometimes though you just need to look at rooms to get inspiration through color and textures. I love these color combinations!

Turquoise, My New Obsession

I think it took Tanner about a month to realize that I love to paint. Whether it be on canvas, walls, or furniture. I have to be painting something or I will go crazy. More times that we both can count he has come home to a newly painted piece of furniture.

Recently I have been loving the color turquoise. It is such a fun and bold color. I cannot wait to find a great piece of furniture to do this to. If I don't find one quick I may just grab something from our house and just start painting.

My Day - I am so proud!

Do you ever have a day where you just get a ton done? Well that was me today and I feel awesome! I made a list of 5 things to do, I did them in order and took a 45 minute break. I did this all day from 9-9. I did take a hour break twice. Our house looks fantastic and I am getting so organized! Check out my to do list from today:

What A Deal Wednesday

Here are my finds for the day. Now it is only noon so I am sure there are going to be plenty more. These are all still available!

These first two are reasons again why I need to learn how to recover furniture. I actually have no idea how much it costs to have it done professionally, maybe I should check on that.

How nice is this chaise? I would probably offer $65 and tell them I could be there today.

Ok, my next piece of furniture to buy will be a hutch like this one. I have a large corner in my living room that is so boring. Being that I live in a house that was built in the 50's there is little storage. I want so badly to buy this one, but I told Tanner I wouldn't buy another piece of furniture until I sold the desk.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! How cool would this be with a fresh coat of paint?! 

Or a deep stain?! It could be used as shelves or a room divider. LOVE THIS!

Ok, I am not a fan of all the stuff that is included in this sale, but for $75, I would take it all. Remember the post I did a few days ago of my furniture inspirations? Can you imagine all of the fun stuff you could do with this? Ahh, the possibilities!

And last but not least, this changing table. NO I do not need it, 

but it is only $25 and looks like it is in perfect condition.

Friends Airport Security (deleted scene)

How great was the TV show FRIENDS? I literally could watch that show every day and never get tired of it. Earlier this year I literally watched the entire 10 seasons. Yes I know lame but I never found anything on TV so why not FRIENDS?

I thought I would share with you today a never before seen clip from the 8th season. Enjoy!

Before/After Desk/Vanity

This was one of my favorite makeovers, if not my favorite. I wish I could keep it but sadly no room in this house.

This was my lovely Craigslist find. Thank you mom for coming with my to get it. And yes I did carry this to my dad's truck sprained ankle and all (I really wanted it). By the way if anyone needs a cute home in Old Edmond the man I bought this from is selling his! Anyways, this is my find and no I did not tell Tanner about it till the next day. It hid in the backyard until he found it when he went to go mow... 

I decided to change the handles so this meant I had to fill the holes.

Taped off and primed. Sorry I didn't take a picture of it sanded. I did sand off the entire top since I would be staining it. I think it took me more time to clean the primer off the 

brushes than it did for me to paint and prime the entire thing. 

Lesson learned: go with spray on primer.

Drawers sanded, primed and painted.

New handles! I love them. And, don't worry I cleaned up my 

painting mistakes on the sides of the drawers.

First coat of the new stain, it is starting to look pretty!

This is a solid walnut desk/vanity. I would call it a desk but on the back it says it is a vanity.

The Before/After Picture!

This was such a fun project and it was all done today! It wasn't an easy day but I am the type of person that when I start something I love I want to finish it that second.
